Post/Staked Pistol Sights

Most staked or post style pistol sights require bit more work and are a one way process only. The most common of these are older style, or traditional style 1911 pistols. We always like to review these and the sights that are going to be installed before we do them. Some have been painted over, some have been blued after being installed, and some replacement sights are poorly designed or need special jigs to be installed without being damaged. Installation of these style of sights starts at $70 for one shop hour, and may vary depending on any jigs, or other work the gun may need for proper fitting.

Dovetail Pistol Sights

We take a lot of care to make sure the sights on you pistol are installed and aligned correctly. On pistols that have dovetailed sights we have a sight pusher tool that drifts the sights on and off without the need of a punch or hammer. Using such a tool protects tritium vials from breaking, prevents marring of the slide, and the sights. Pistols with dovetailed sights we charge $35 for installation.
